{"id":6992,"date":"2018-04-03T17:47:30","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T17:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/?p=6992"},"modified":"2023-12-14T16:14:34","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T15:14:34","slug":"tdah-y-alimentacion-que-relacion-tienen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/en\/blog\/tdah-y-alimentacion-que-relacion-tienen\/","title":{"rendered":"TDAH Y ALIMENTACI\u00d3N. \u00bfQU\u00c9 RELACI\u00d3N TIENEN?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os hemos o\u00eddo hablar de forma cada vez m\u00e1s habitual sobre el Trastorno por d\u00e9ficit de atenci\u00f3n e Hiperactividad (TDAH). Se trata de un trastorno neurobiol\u00f3gico originado en la infancia y caracterizado por la dificultad para prestar atenci\u00f3n, actividad excesiva e impulsividad y\/o hiperactividad.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las causas de este complejo trastorno parecen ser diversas y muy difusas. De momento lo \u00fanico que parece ser similar en muchos pacientes con TDAH es que un % bastante elevado de la causa de la enfermedad est\u00e1 relacionado con genes y el resto con otros factores ambientales que se pueden dar tanto a nivel prenatal, perinatal o posnatal, como por ejemplo: bajo peso al nacer, consumo de alcohol o tabaco durante el embarazo, traumatismos craneoencef\u00e1licos en la infancia, infecciones del sistema nervioso o la prematuridad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bfY qu\u00e9 sabemos respecto al tratamiento? Haciendo una lectura de la documentaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica parece ser que el tratamiento que ha demostrado m\u00e1s eficacia consiste en una combinaci\u00f3n de terapia conductual (tanto para ni\u00f1os como para los padres) con la utilizaci\u00f3n de f\u00e1rmacos capaces de aumentar la actividad de la dopamina y la norepinefrina. Pero, \u00bfpodemos mejorar los s\u00edntomas del TDAH con alimentaci\u00f3n? El tema es controvertido, parece ser que existen algunas relaciones entre algunos nutrientes o sustancias presentes en los alimentos y los s\u00edntomas del TDAH pero todav\u00eda no est\u00e1 muy claro si este tipo de relaciones son causales o por el contrario son meras coincidencias. Veamos a continuaci\u00f3n cuales de estas sustancias o nutrientes podr\u00edan estar relacionados con el TDAH.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Aditivos alimentarios artificiales:<\/strong> Estamos hablando de colorantes, edulcorantes o conservantes artificiales que podr\u00edan aumentar el comportamiento hiperactivo en algunos ni\u00f1os, sin embargo la FDA determin\u00f3 que con los estudios realizados hasta el momento no se ha podido probar este v\u00ednculo y que investigaciones m\u00e1s profundas son necesarias. Ya que el tema no est\u00e1 muy claro, m\u00e1s vale prevenir que curar, as\u00ed que se decidi\u00f3 obligar a los fabricantes que incluyesen estas sustancias en sus alimentos a indicar en la etiqueta la presencia de los mismos como pod\u00e9is ver en la siguiente etiqueta.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7003 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/https\/\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Etiqueta-final.png?resize=560%2C315&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Etiqueta final\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Etiqueta-final.png?w=560&amp;ssl=1 560w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Etiqueta-final.png?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Az\u00facar:<\/strong> Desde los a\u00f1os 80 se lleva investigando en la relaci\u00f3n del az\u00facar y la hiperactividad y\/o d\u00e9ficit de atenci\u00f3n siendo los resultados negativos para esta relaci\u00f3n, es decir el consumo de az\u00facar parece no afectar al comportamiento de los ni\u00f1os. Sin embargo, s\u00ed que afecta en otros aspectos aumentando el riesgo de obesidad y sobrepeso as\u00ed como de otras enfermedades relacionadas. En 2017, un ni\u00f1o medio espa\u00f1ol consumi\u00f3 32 kg de az\u00facar, una cifra que supera notoriamente la ingesta recomendada (Estudio ANIBES, AESAN).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Omega 3:<\/strong> Se ha observado que este tipo de \u00e1cido graso poliinsaturado suele presentarse en baja concentraci\u00f3n en ni\u00f1os con TDAH y que esto parece empeorar los s\u00edntomas del trastorno. As\u00ed pues, se valora si la suplementaci\u00f3n con omega 3 en ni\u00f1os con este trastorno ser\u00eda efectiva. Una revisi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de 2017 concluye que podr\u00eda ser efectiva la suplementaci\u00f3n con omega 3 en ni\u00f1os y adolescentes con TDAH que presentaran deficiencia en estos \u00e1cidos grasos.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">En conclusi\u00f3n, algunos aditivos podr\u00edan empeorar los s\u00edntomas y, aunque todav\u00eda falta evidencia s\u00f3lida acerca de esta cuesti\u00f3n, entidades oficiales como la FDA obligan a indicar en el etiquetado de alimentos la presencia de estas sustancias.Un consejo sencillo para evitar el consumo de estas sustancias es disminuir el consumo de golosinas y otros dulces de colores. Puedes sustituirlos, por ejemplo, por fruta desecada, una opci\u00f3n dulce y mucho m\u00e1s saludable.<\/h4>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12411\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/https\/\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104-300x300.jpeg?resize=300%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=100%2C100&amp;ssl=1 100w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=600%2C600&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=1024%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?resize=768%2C768&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nutritionalcoaching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/pexels-photo-102104.jpeg?w=1300&amp;ssl=1 1300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por otro lado, aunque parece ser que el consumo de az\u00facar no afecta en este aspecto que aqu\u00ed se trata (TDAH) s\u00ed que tiene un impacto negativo en otros aspectos de la salud por lo que la recomendaci\u00f3n de ingesta de az\u00facar en ni\u00f1os con TDAH es la misma que para ni\u00f1os sin este trastorno: cuanta menos mejor. La OMS establece un consumo \u00f3ptimo de 25g al d\u00eda o lo equivalente a 6 terrones.
